A Creator, Bridging Technique and Art

Born in 1961, I grew up at the intersection of art and technique. My father—a former student and later a professor at the École Boulle—concluded his career at the ENSAAMA (National School of Applied Arts and Artistic Crafts). As an artist, he was actively involved in various exhibitions. My mother, an accountant, instilled in me a sense of pragmatism, rigor, and practicality. These influences shaped the way I see the world.

A Childhood Immersed in Creation

In my father’s studio, I discovered modeling, sculpture, drawing, painting, and ceramics. In the countryside, I would observe his weekend workshops, where students learned the intricacies of working with bronze and the lost-wax casting process.

Without even realizing it, I developed a deep curiosity for materials, production methods, and technical mastery.

From Innovation to Creation

My professional life gravitated toward technology and industrial innovation—exploring, experimenting, and devising solutions. Drafting patents taught me how to categorize problems… and the solutions to address them.

Today, I find in artistic creation a sensibility that has likely always been with me—an echo of my early years.

I regret not having had more conversations with my father about our respective artistic sensibilities. We might not have always agreed, but isn’t the very purpose of art to evoke emotion, spark reflection, and invite constructive critique?

Creating with Freedom

My work follows my own inclinations. I enjoy exploring and experimenting, refusing to be confined to a single style. Each project represents a meeting point between an idea, a material, and a technique. This diversity fosters a cross-pollination of ideas. My creations are eclectic—sometimes unexpected—and guided by the joy of giving form to an idea.

For me, creating means combining the curiosity of a technician with the freedom of an artist.
